Since 2021, Farhanja Wahabzada leads the “Business Alliance on Green Hydrogen” at GIZ, an initiative by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It aims at contributing to a just transition in partner countries together with the private sector. Before, she advised on Germany’s “Bilateral Energy Partnerships”, a programme by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK). In her function as Head of the German-Moroccan Energy Partnership she supported the development of the Moroccan Green Hydrogen Strategy and potential sustainable projects. Before joining the GIZ she worked in the field of economic development for four years in a leading position. Farhanja Wahabzada holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the Philipps University in Marburg.
