Astrid Bergmål was formely State Secretary for the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (2021 – 2023). She has priviously worked for the Enterprise Federation of Norway (Virke), and as a Political Adviser in the Norwegian Labour Party’s parliamentary party group.
From 2011–2012, she was a Political Adviser in the Ministry of Justice and Public Security. She was a Deputy Member of Parliament in the period 2001–2005. Bergmål is a qualified lawyer and has specialised in European Union law from the University of Oslo (2001 – 2007).
