Currently, Robert Klein holds the positions of Head of Hydrogen for the Voltalia group and Head of LATAM-North Africa. He joined the company in 2006, facing the challenge of establishing the Group’s operations in Brazil. Since then, he has led Voltalia Brasil, being one of the main architects of the company’s exponential growth, which has become one of the leaders in the renewable energy sector in the country. Currently, Voltalia Brasil employs around 400 employees and accounts for over 50% of the Group’s total revenue. Klein has been leading the company for 18 years and is a member of the Group’s Executive Committee, headquartered in France. His extensive experience throughout the renewable energy value chain and his international work in regions such as North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Persian Gulf have led him to his current position, where he contributes to the development of the Voltalia Group in the Power to X sector, as well as leading the group’s activities in Latin America and North Africa. With a degree in Mathematics from Aix-Marseille University and in Engineering from Centrale Marseille, along with an MBA in Business Administration from IAE France – Management School, Robert Klein began his career in the Oil and Gas sector. He later played a prominent role in the international development of the Fives-Lille Group, managing contracts in the Middle East, Japan, and South Korea. Since then, his career has focused on the energy sector, particularly renewable energy. Additionally, Klein is currently a board member of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce, a Foreign Trade Advisor to France, and a board member of ABIHV – the Brazilian Association of Green Hydrogen Industry.
