‘I’m part of the summit because I want to meet people and I want to discuss the hydrogen topics and see what we can do to get beyond the point that we already are.
This World Hydrogen Summit for me is really a good opportunity to do a lot of networking, I meet a lot of people around the globe that really are very important for the hydrogen business and for my corporations, but we also have a lot of very interesting panels with very new insights and potential for new discussions, so I like it a lot yes it’s a good summit.
This last panel on the positive side I think, we’re moving beyond the first stages of really getting a feeling for the market, we’re really moving into the stage where we get a good feeling for what are the risks, what are the costs, and how we can address our policies to mitigate them. The main message is it’s not so much about the money and the first point but it’s also about regulation, certainty and risk mitigation.
We do expect FIDs, we do expect more certainty through regulation, we do expect a lot of feeling for what is the market doing, we do expect first prices to wage to global auctions. So I think a lot of things will be happening this year to give more certainty to the market, more indications to the market. The glitches are that the public finance that we have is limited, very limited around the globe because of the war of Russia and Ukraine, but also because of what we’re lagging behind from the corona crisis and economic crisis that was following behind. So I think the focus will be much more into the question of what we can do with a regulatory framework, what we can do with guarantees maybe, and then to see what we can do to help the projects come about.
The conclusion for me from today is, we arrived in the midst of it, we’re not at the beginning we’re not at the end, but we’re going well ahead.’
