“I’m really excited to have been invited again to the World Hydrogen Summit because hydrogen rocks.
If we want nature really to be restored we have to drastically reduce the emissions of CO2 and the only way we can do that is to have a rapid transition of our energy sector into renewable energy.
I think if you look at the amounts of money we are putting into the economy it is at least comparable to the inflation reduction act it’s probably more and on top of that our competitiveness is also increased because we deliver a regulatory framework which will give long-term security to investors and to economic operators this is something the Americans aren’t doing so I think all in all we’re in a good competitive position and at the same time I welcome the IRA because it also keeps us on our toes.
If you see what’s happening in the renewable energy sector and if you see what’s happening in the energy savings area, I would excited if we could agree on a global level on global targets for the transition to renewable energy and on global targets for energy efficiency, that will really help.
I think there’s a lot more security, a lot more feeling of confidence in the sector that we can actually deliver. A lot more contacts have been made, there’s a lot more thinking in terms of integrated supply chains than before, it’s no longer just individual projects, so we’re really moving forward quite fast.”
