‘I came to the World Hydrogen Summit firstly to understand what is happening around the world because in Australia we are doing a lot of research mostly with Australian companies, but we also have international collaborations so it was a fantastic opportunity to come to Rotterdam and get a sense of activities on the hydrogen front is happening on a global scale.

The African Hydrogen Forum today has been very interesting, certainly, I think the biggest takeaway is collaboration is key. Like Australia there is a lot happening on the hydrogen side of things in Africa, and I think it’s a really fantastic opportunity to ensure learnings with the African Governments, with African companies and make those connections between Africa, Europe and Australia.

This event is really fantastic because of the quality of speakers who have attended this forum, so if you look at the programme, the biggest companies have doubled up in hydrogen projects around the world are here. There are various Governments that have projects in their respective countries are here. And also research organisations like ours and also right across the globe are here, so it’s a perfect platform and a perfect forum for people to come together to share knowledge, to share insights, to share mistakes if it were, to ensure that hydrogen becomes a reality in the coming years.’
