Prof Bamidele Adebisi is a Director/ Board Member of the African Hydrogen Partnership Trade Association (AHP), and a member of the leadership team of the Manchester Fuel Cell Innovation Centre, UK. Bamidele is a Professor in Intelligent Infrastructure Systems, and Director of Smart Infrastructure and Industry Research Group at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK. He received a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Engineering both from Lancaster University, UK. Before that, he obtained B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.
He has published over 200 peer-review papers and given talks/panel discussions in the research areas of smart energy systems, peer-to-peer energy trading, smart cities, industry 4.0, the internet of things, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and cyber-physical systems.
He has been part of multi-partner, multi-country, mutli-million-pound projects as an Investigator funded by the government, international agencies, and corporate bodies. He has a strong record of accomplishment of attracting industrial-related grants through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP). One of such projects received the UK Best of the KTP Project of the Year Awards in September 2020.
Bamidele is a Fellow of IET, Senior member of IEEE, a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Engineer
