Dr. Steve Hamburg is Chief Scientist at EDF, and a project leader on EDF’s hydrogen work as well as MethaneSAT. He also chairs the scientific oversight committee of the UN Environment Programme’s International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO). He is one of the world’s most recognized experts in measurement and management of methane emissions in oil & gas and other sectors, along with the race to develop orbital emissions monitoring. Steven served as a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and was acknowledged as one of the contributing recipients of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize.
